BIRDING NATIONAL PARK
Your Ushuaia tour itinerary
- Depart the hotel/Port and we will drive towards the west to Tierra del Fuego National Park which is only half an hour from downtown. - Once there we are going to focus in the birds of the forest, walking on wonderful trails(Austral Parakeet, Austral Pygmy-Owl, Magellanic Woodpecker, Thorn-tailed Rayadito, White-throated Treerunner, Fire-eyed Diucon, Tufted Tit-Tyrant, White-crested Elaenia, Patagonian Tyrant, Chilean Swallow, Austral Thrush, Patagonian Sierra-Finch, Black-chinned Siskin). This huge forest stand in stark contrast to the peat bogs. - We will keep our eyes peeled for Black-necked Swan, Great Grebe, Upland Goose, Ashy-headed Goose, Crested Duck, , Flightless and Flying Steamer-Duck, , Spectacled Duck, Southern Lapwing, Common Snipe, White-throated Caracara, Southern Caracara, Chimango Caracara and Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle. -After a fast stop in the Visitor Center (bathrooms) we seek for Andean Condor, Magellanic and Blackish Oystercatcher Kelp Goose among others. -Back to Hotel/Port

Your Ushuaia tour itinerary
6:00 AM – Departure from Ushuaia
Meet at our designated pickup point in Ushuaia. After a warm welcome and a brief introduction, we'll board our comfortable transport and head towards the northern part of Tierra del Fuego.
9:00 AM – Arrival at the Atlantic Reserve
Upon arrival at the Atlantic Reserve, we’ll begin our birdwatching adventure. Here, we’ll look for a variety of coastal birds, including: Two-banded Plover, Sanderling, White-rumped Sandpiper.
Exploration of the Steppes
We will venture into the steppes, a unique ecosystem characterized by its grasslands, brackish water ponds and sparse vegetation. This area is perfect for spotting emblematic species, such as: Magellanic Plover, Ruddy-headed Goose, Tawny-throated Dotterel, Least Seedsnipe, Common Miner, Short-billed Miner, Chocolate-vented Tyrant, Cinnamon-bellied Ground-Tyrant, Greenish Yellow–Finch among other bird species.
